Through the arts we offer a safe, trauma sensitive environment
which provide opportunities for individuals to express themselves, learn new skills and
improve their well-being.
Our workshops are fun and therapeutic.
We recognise that the participants are the experts of their own lives.
We listen, offer choices and a new way of seeing things.
The sessions bring people together, we teach mindfulness and other relaxation techniques, discuss support networks and healthy daily routines. We explore positive relationships, how to support others around us and promote self care.
We offer different art forms for creative expression e.g. creative writing, art, digital storytelling, photography,…
Our approach is person-centred, there is no right or wrong way, we go at the pace of the individuals in the group and give them space to be creative.
Finding their creative flow, helps people to realise their strength and increases their self-esteem. During the project participants take control over their creative process, learn new coping mechanisms and find purposeful engagement.
The development of these workshops has been a personal search towards meaningful interventions. I am looking for opportunities to share my experience, collaborate and develop good, sustainable practice to improve the wellbeing of individuals.
